What exactly is the storyline for the Uncharted Series?
Well, it is an action-adventure game series developed by Naughty Dog. The main series of games follows Nathan Drake, a treasure hunter who travels across the world to uncover various historical mysteries and lost cities, resulting in clashes with rival hunters and thieves.
What have the Uncharted games taught us about Nathan Drake?
Nathan Drake is cool, charismatic, rebellious and a bit of a badass. He is sarcastic and is often commenting and complaining about the absurdity or difficulty of his situation.
His writers have confirmed he is based on Knoxville from Jackass and Harrison Ford. Harrison Ford was used in adverts for Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, which were broadcast only in Japan. He looks like a handsome everyday guy kicking about in a plain top and jeans
Nathan Drake is a master of climbing and stunt work. He has impressive athleticism and the ability to perform otherwise impossible feats.
Tom Holland will be playing a young Nathan Drake in the movie, and I think he will be a good fit.
Here is why.
Tom Holland is very athletic already. He is a trained dancer and gymnast and carried out most of his own stunts in Spiderman. He also has the energy and charisma you would expect from a young Drake.
In the first game he was seen to be cold-spirited and a little mean, but as the series has progressed his personality has changed a lot, and he has developed into a warmer character. He has a strong bond with Nathan and is a kind of father figure to him. Like Nate, he is also quite sarcastic and is a bit of a womaniser, often bragging of his previous conquests.
His character will be played by Mark Wahlberg. Although I cannot see him as Sullivan in my head just now, he’s a good actor, so I am looking forward to seeing what he brings to the role.
